Gandhi in classrooms

Gandhi Lives Here

2

At Mahatma Gandhi School, Gandhi isn’t just history. He’s a living presence. His values breathe through our routines, shape our lessons, and guide every interaction.

“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
-Mahatma Gandhi

Interfaith Prayer

3

Every morning begins with silence, humility and oneness. Our interfaith prayer is a daily act of unity. Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist – all praying as one. In a divided world, we begin by teaching peace.

“Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul.”- Mahatma Gandhi

Spinning the Charkha

4

The spinning wheel turns every day, not for grades but for grounding and grace. Children learn to spin their minds toward patience, dignity, and self-reliance just like Bapu envisioned.

“The Charkha is a symbol of non-violence, of simplicity, and of freedom.”

Education Beyond Textbooks

5

Gandhi’s ideals of truth, simplicity, non-violence, self-discipline and service are not confined to Moral Science periods. They are part of Math, History, Science and most importantly, life.

“Here, character comes before curriculum.”

Gandhi as a Living Influence

From mid-day meal service to ration drives, from cleanliness efforts to kindness circles, our students practice what they learn; seva over syllabus, compassion over competition.

“His message did not end with him. It continues wherever conscience is stronger than convenience.”

Resounding Voices of Truth

At Mahatma Gandhi School, children are encouraged to speak, question, and express fearlessly. From daily reflections to public speaking circles, every voice is valued. They learn that truth is not just spoken, it is lived with courage and clarity.

“Gently, you can shake the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi
